30 Second Recreation

To practice filming and editing a music videos, we recreated 30 seconds of an already existing music video. We were able to work together to create this so I worked with Becca for this task. We decided to recreate the first 30 seconds of Stay With Me by Sam Smith as it is simple and filmed in one shot. I wanted to practice using a camera without a tripod so I decided to film and Becca would star in the video. I need to practice more as my hands were shaky as I was moving.

1 Minute Music Video

To practice our skills to make a successful music video a practice task was set to make a music video to one minute of a song. We were given the choice to work in groups or alone (I chose the latter of the two) and could choose any genre of song. I chose Hurts by LANY as I knew I wanted to film outside and this song fit the sunny weather. I focused mainly on editing however, I filmed lip syncing during golden hour so the lighting would be fitting to the song. I used a lot of colour correcting to practice my editing skills. 1 minute music video
